Payment Gateway — Full Tutorial

This section controls how your customers place orders, how they pay, what payment methods are accepted, and how taxes and currencies are handled.

  1. Order Processing Options

These settings determine how customers can submit orders on your store.

Direct Order

Instant order with invoice.
When enabled, customers can place an order immediately, and the system automatically generates an invoice.

  • Ideal for straightforward purchases
  • No need for customer questions or approvals

Invoicing

With later payments.
When enabled, customers can place an order but pay later once they receive an invoice.

Use this if:

  • You offer manual approval
  • You accept bank transfer payments
  • You allow customers to pay after confirmation

Enquiries

Quotes and questions.
This mode lets customers submit enquiries instead of booking directly.

Useful for:

  • High-value items requiring manual approval
  • Bespoke services
  • Custom pricing

When ON, customers will see a “Send Enquiry” option instead of immediate payment.

  1. Payment Processing Options

These settings control how customers pay at checkout.

Book Now & Pay Later (Cash on Delivery)

Allows customers to place a booking without paying upfront.
Payment is collected:

  • At pick-up
  • On delivery
  • In person

Ideal for local services or rentals.

Online Payments via Stripe

Allows you to take online card payments through Stripe.

When enabled:

  • Customers can pay with debit/credit cards
  • Payments are securely processed by Stripe
  • Orders are confirmed instantly

You will need to enter your Stripe keys (see below).

Disable Payments (Email Price Quote)

When enabled:

  • Checkout payments are turned OFF
  • Customers receive a price quote instead
  • Useful if you want all payments handled manually
  1. Stripe Integration

To accept online payments, you must connect your Stripe account.

Stripe Public Key

Enter your Stripe Publishable Key, usually starting with:

pk_live_…   or   pk_test_…

This key is safe to share on the frontend.

Stripe Secret Key

Enter your Stripe Secret Key, which starts with:

sk_live_…  or  sk_test_…

Never share this key publicly.

Once both keys are added, Stripe payments will work immediately.

👉 Note: Make sure you have enabled the payment methods you want inside your Stripe dashboard.
